Terry Boddie curated the exhibition, Uncharted Territory, in Orange, New Jersey, in May 2009. His work is also on exhibit at Kreyol Factory, Parc la Villette, Paris, April 7 – July 5, 2009.
Milton Glaser is the subject of the documentary, Milton Glaser: To Inform & Delight, which opened in theaters on May 22. His exhibition, Seeing Things, is currently on view at the Avram Gallery, Stony Brook Southampton, through September 12, 2009.
Satch Hoyt has installed a labyrinth at Pope Park as part of a residency with Real Public at Real Art Ways in Hartford, CT.
Brookie Maxwell’s exhibition, Rwanda Mon Amour, which features her drawings and sculptures and video by Jesse Hawkes/RAPSIDA, has been extended. Due Diligence, her machete installation from the exhibit, was adapted into a short theater piece and performed at Theater for a New City earlier this month.
Maxwell also partnered with Facing History and Ourselves to use the exhibition as an innovative teaching environment for the prevention of further genocides. More than 200 high school and college students and their teachers have participated.
Zefrey Throwell will be participating in the 2009 Venice Biennale with a project called Venetian Interiors. He has an upcoming show at Queens Nails Annex in San Francisco. In addition, Throwell has a large project coming up later this summer with Creative Time.
